Somewhere along the line, I assigned joke/punny names to some of the Middleton High School jocks. Inspired by bric-a-brac, knick-knack, and paddy whack, after Brick I started adding Brack, Nick Nack, and Patrick "Paddy" Waxx. Cause I'm [sic] like that…

Eventually, I decided I needed to check the background jocks to see if I could identify likely candidates. Because not only will grounding them with seen canon characters give them authenticity, but visuals help to enrich how I write and handle them. And in looking at Seasons 1-3, I did indeed find them! I'm ignoring S4 because once it was decided to set Ron on a jock arc—despite his absolute failures in Triple S—the background jocks changed and became harder to track. Where in the first 3 seasons the only jock important enough for name and plotlines was Brick.

Also, in addition to Big Mike (Wazowski), I named a "Bigger Mike" from a picture also in Triple S, which although not a "joke" jock in the same vein, by giving him the surname "Tyson" after a known Football player AND the Boxer, he joins my growing list of "–No Relation" characters where I extend a gag started in Crush with Julia Roberts–No Relation…

Besides, once I started planning out AUs where Kim is a girl-jock, defining her teammates, especially the footballers, gained even more importance.

Loud & Proud

As some might know, my Muse is title-oriented and triggered. Waking earlier, she threw this up in my face…

Penny Proud and one of the Loud House Sisters. Not being really familiar with The Loud House, I'm not sure which sister, although the oldest three (17, 16, 15) are close enough to Penny's age.

Not sure the genre or story. Could be they meet and a romance develops as they come out to themselves, to each other, and to everyone.

Could be something more action-adventure. Certainly, Penny is no stranger to odd happenings. Although at this moment I'm partial to sleuthing a mystery.

Since I know nothing about the Loud House, please offer up some suggestions.

Okay, since I first posted, here is what I've come up with: Penny Proud and Lori Loud were taken on as Interns at a prestigious Law Firm (in LA or NYC). Although failing and expecting to be let go, Their last day, late Friday afternoon, they are approached by one of the senior name partners with an offer: due to a conflict of interests between two clients, the company will set the pair up with their own company *IF* they can manage to serve papers on the least favored and most problematic of the clients by Monday morning, in addition to fronting all the business registration costs, the Firm provides them with whatever the contents of a storage unit that used to belong to a defunct messenger service (like motorcycles, office contents, etc; even using the storage unit as their first office).

If they can manage to pull off the assignment, the Firm will promise them a three-year messengers' contract. Long enough to help them succeed (and definitively distance them from the Firm's client being served…).

In the course of completing their assignment, as Process Servers, they also become official Officers of the Court.

If you've not seen the 2004 movie, D.E.B.S. and don't mind lesbians and chicks with guns, then, by all means, do so! ASAP.

Now, as much fun as it is, as much as I like it, I have a few issues with aspects of it from a writer's POV. First, the agents' military tactics were… shoddy to say the least. They needed a better-executed buddy system, also known as bounding overwatch or standard 2x2 covering. Also, no matter what you find an internationally wanted criminal doing, or with whom, you arrest them. You don't walk away shaking your heads in disgust.

Okay, that aside… it is, after all a comedy with the emphasis heavy on chicks with guns and lesbians (let's skip the argument that by dating Bobby first, Amy could be considered bisexual; the narrative was clearly *lesbians*)… when I turn my hand to a DEBS story, there are a few things *I* wish to address to my writer's satisfaction.

Initially, I was thinking of retconning to weave my ideas in. But after taking stock of the dates of the movie, (2004), and Kim Possible (Class of 2005)(series ending in 2007), I've decided to take the route of sequal. 

So the following are some of my thoughts on what I'm calling the D.E.B.S. Initiative 2.0.

The DEBS event known as Endgame I'm going with being the end of a D.E.B.S. Initiative probationary period Mrs. Petrie had to prove the value of her proposed agency concept. At this point, I'm thinking 4 years. What would have been an embarrassing development with the "Lucy/Amy Affair" has gone down on the books as Amy Bradshaw is on an extended detached deep cover assignment as "Turned Asset and Confidential Informant" Lucinda Reynold's "handler" as they work to subvert and dismantle the Reynolds Crime Syndicate from within.

The success of the RCS already partiallly dismantled, the DEBS Initiative is approved with full international ratification and funding. Mrs. Petrie is given the green light to advance with her Initiative 2.0. With full funding, DEBS becomes a proper Agency in its own right no longer under the oversight of the Department of Homeland Security (which Bobby worked for). 

Mrs Mary Margaret (my name) Petrie expands the Catholic Schoolgirl theme and motif to include faculty in full traditional nun habits as well as obtaining the local church—rechristened as Our Lady of Perpetual Dilligence—on the Jameson University grounds as well as many other nearby buildings and companies in financial distress, the economic health of the surrounding college town community of Jameson Township is saved and revitalized, expanding as additional cover for the DEBS Agency with most of the local citizenry unaware of its existence.

Instead of every agent allowed their own preferences of weapons, a custom version of the Rockwall Rockstorm 9mm (real world: Baretta Storm Px4 and related Storm family) was commissioned and adopted agency-wide as the approved official firearm. The DEBonaire with its suite of accessories is commonly known as the DEBS Special.

This is the DEBS Agency which cover-students Bonnie Rockwaller, Tara Incognito, Hope Inglee, and Sharon "Braceface" Spitz are *not* supposed to be aware of, much less fall into a mission of their own….

As I work on Marooned on Planet X: Test Peek1, what sort of features should I consider adding? Things which scream "this isn't Kansas anymore".

Things from vistas in the day or night sky (full shield of a galaxy, rings, multiple moons, etc) to fauna and flora. No intelligent aliens or civilizations. But any and everything else to challenge a group of 7700 castaways cutoff from most home technology. Just the things everyone had time to grab in the 20 minutes they had before entering the spatial portal (Justine's Kinematic Continuum Disrupter) before everything they knew destroyed by the Pan-Dimensional Vortex Inducer's reality-gobbling induced vortex.

Remember, no ship. At best they have a hastily overstocked ambulance and a couple dirtbikes.

Any Adult/Sexual suggestions and challenges should be Noted instead of discussing here.

Okay, I came across the Purple Earth hypothesis (Wikipedia or Google it) where instead of photosynthesizing plants appear green (the only wavelength of light it does not absorb) due to chlorophyll, there is a possibility that early on Earth, before chlorophyll developed to dominate plant life, plants were based on a microbe called "retinal" (not the eye-scanner process) which causes plants to appear purple.

I like this. so Planet X will be very heavy in purples.

As for the sky… I'm tending on at least one set of rings (to be named the "Bifrost"). I'm considering a companion planet, making it a double planet system, and a couple of moons. at night a large spiral galaxy—unclear if it is the Milky Way or not—is very visible.

I've not made any decisions about sun(s).

X's twin planet causes a huge variation in tidal forces affecting localized gravity. A swing from a Moon-like 1/6th G when it is overhead to 1.5 G when on the other side of X.
